The Environment
|
Paramount to the Photo Therapy process is the environment. For this reason, a safe, nurturing and supportive space is created, where you can explore and express yourself freely.

Photo Shoot |
First Session:
During the first session we examine what it feels to be photographed and to have someone’s full attention on you. We discuss any concerns and issues that arise, regarding how you look and how you feel. We begin to notice what your body language communicates and what your face emotes. We create a range of portraits, which visually embody all of your fragmented selves. We dive deep into the creative process of developing different characters, and we begin to actively act them out in various role-plays. We use your imagination to explore a variety of narratives and create visualizations to live out your deepest aspirations. |

Second Session:
During the second session we attempt to access personal attitudes and feelings that may normally be hidden. Using the images as a vehicle for self-exploration, we begin to interact with them. Photographs are critiqued, studied, given a voice, and at times story boarded with other photographs to create improvisational stories. Recurring themes and patterns in your responses begin to appear. By noticing these filters, and by identifying them for what they are, an all-pervasive influence that profoundly colors your relationships with yourself and others, a clearer picture of who you are and how you perceive the world will begin to emerge. |
Design A Plan |
Third Session:
When we have identified what core issues need to be addressed, the next step is to initiate a course of action and develop strategies for positive change. During the third session we begin to rehearse the possibility for change by showing you how to uncover the loving, purposeful and powerful part of who you are. We design a plan to help you eliminate any obstacles or blocks that stand in the way of you having everything you want. We do this by working from the inside out, by focusing on changing your own way of thinking, and by removing any internal barriers that keep you from feeling, doing, and being your absolute best. |
